TIME TO REBRAND THE DESIGN DISTRICT
A recent article by Richard White of the Calgary Herald calls for push to refresh our perception of the Design District. With the ever evolving landscape of Calgary changing, the Beltline brings a renewed sense of energy into city and has been a recent focus as one of the most exciting areas to live. From restaurants to shops and even real estate developments that bring in new businesses occupying their commercial units, the Beltline is quickly earning its name for diversity in living. SODO (South of Downtown), now hosts a wide range of shops located within walking distance of our Park Point project. Whether you’re looking to live, play, eat or create, it’s just steps away.
Our favorites from White’s list includes:
1. The Cookbook Co. Cooks: Love to eat? Find your inspiration here with a wide range of cookbooks for prepping and creating the perfect meal. Whether you’re a novice in the kitchen or a seasoned chef, The Cookbook Co. Cooks offers classes that will expand your culinary skills.
2. Paul Kuhn Gallery: Home to contemporary art and works of emerging artists, the Paul Kuhn Gallery is a treat for the senses. The gallery also hosts events, book launches, performance art and poetry readings suited for the creative.
3. Sucre Patisserie: Quell your sweet tooth cravings and head over to Sucre Patisserie at Mark on 10th. A dessert lover’s paradise, their macaroons are a must try there. Everything is baked fresh daily making this the perfect destination to catch up with a few friends on weekends.
